On a straight run of similar piles, usually. A hydraulic pile breaker presses into one band until the main concrete section can be lifted clear. Less of the head then has to come away point by point. For the programme, use a wider clock: from the carrier’s departure from one accepted pile to acceptance of the next.

That wider timing often changes the discussion. A quick break can be followed by a blocked travel route, nowhere to put the concrete, or an inspector who has not been called. These are site-planning delays. A larger attachment does not remove them.

What a Hydraulic Pile Breaker Changes in the Shift

Rough removal sees the largest change. A cylinder and chisel sit in each module, with parallel hoses feeding the group. Their pressure is applied around one band. Once it releases, the carrier removes the section and exposes the finishing work around the steel.

Similar geometry lets the team keep what already worked: module arrangement, carrier stance and lifting signals. SINOVO rig separates its hydraulic pile breaker configurations for round and square piles, so selection begins with pile shape.

SINOVO rig also states an SPA5 output of 60 piles in eight hours under the model’s stated conditions. Put that figure beside the site assumptions, not straight into the programme. Extra head height, diameter changes, carrier travel and inspection waits all sit outside a simple hydraulic pile breaker capacity number.

Why Pile Cropping Time Disappears After the Break

Use a trial sheet with two clocks. One records pressure-on to pressure-off. The longer clock ends only when the inspector releases the next pile and the carrier is free to move. Notes made during the gap identify the delay without guesswork: travel, rigging, lifting, dressing or approval.

Surplus height can change the result before the carrier moves. SPA5 allows no more than 300 mm in one cutting pass. A head standing 700 mm above cut-off therefore needs several breaking and lifting stages, followed by the agreed finish. The measured diameter must also sit within the chosen round pile breaker choices; a nominal schedule entry is not enough for final setup.

Time a small group that represents the actual job, including one pile with workable but less convenient access. Record the cause whenever the carrier stops. The full accepted-pile cycle belongs in the programme. The shorter hydraulic pile breaker interval is still useful, but as a check on the machine rather than a shift promise.

Check the Pile Cutting Machine Before It Leaves the Yard

Put one equipment sketch in the submittal. It should place the hydraulic pile breaker over the pile, the carrier at its intended standing point and the released head in its landing area. Write the working reach, attachment weight and usable oil supply on that sketch. A clash found here costs little; the same clash after delivery parks the pile cutting machine.

SPA5 uses seven to twelve modules across stated round-pile diameters from 250 to 1200 mm. For one cylinder, the published ceiling is 25 L/min at 31.5 MPa. The useful comparison is the oil available at working engine speed through the hoses and couplings that will actually be fitted.

For a square pile, compare the SPF400B and SPF450B models rather than stopping at size range. The ranges overlap. Maximum pressure and flow per cylinder are also published at the same values. Mass is not: SPF400B is 650 kg and calls for at least a 7 t excavator; SPF450B is 1.3 t and calls for at least 20 t. Those loads have to work at the planned boom reach over the pile.

Complete this check before the equipment travels. Start with a pile schedule showing shape, measured size, quantity and surplus height. Add headroom, excavation edges, nearby piles, carrier routes and a place for the broken sections on the site plan. Hydraulic and lifting details turn the selected product into a workable method.

When a Pile Breaking Machine Will Not Save Time

A hydraulic pile breaker offers less advantage when the job has little repetition. Three piles at separate corners of a site, several diameters or a low overhead obstruction can make assembly and carrier movement the main activities. Machine work may still reduce close manual breaking, but the completed cycle can remain slow.

Finish requirements can narrow the saving too. Congested or unexpected steel may leave local dressing after the main section comes away. Write the required cut-off level and bar condition into the method statement, along with the inspection hold and defect response. Shared acceptance wording prevents two contractors from quoting the same pile count while planning different stopping points.

Mobilization is a larger share of a short job. Five piles still require delivery, assembly, hose connection, a function test and removal. With fifty piles, the same setup supports many more cycles. This is why a breaker can make operational sense on the larger run but save little total time on the smaller one.

Before fixing the shift target, send the pile schedule and site conditions with the proposed carrier and oil-supply details. With those items together, the model review can catch a wrong module count, awkward lift or supply gap while changes are still practical.

Sıkça Sorulan Sorular

Q: Which is faster, hydraulic or manual pile breaking?

A: Bulk removal normally favors the hydraulic method. A multiplier taken from another project is unreliable because access, lifting and the required finish may be different. Clock both methods from one accepted pile to the next and use the local result.

Q: Can the same breaker cover several pile diameters?

A: In many cases, yes. A modular hydraulic pile breaker changes module count as pile diameter changes. That also changes the assembled weight, so the oil requirement and carrier capacity need another check before the machine moves to site.

Q: Which job details change pile head removal time?

A: Start with the schedule and mark the measured size and surplus height against each pile group. The method and site plan then supply access, carrier position, oil, lifting, spoil, finish and inspection details. Keep unknowns visible as assumptions; otherwise the shift total looks more certain than the job really is.
